IE8 and MUI packages for Windows XP available?

mui packs for VISTA and W2K8 are available, but ...

where are the corresponding .exe's for Windowx XP (SP2 / SP3)?
The mui pack files provided here are .msu files, a file and update
type xp doesn't understand (windows6.xxx.msu, installable using
wusa.exe which is the update engine for Vista and not for XP)

but on the site is stated:
"Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2;
Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista; Windows Vista 64-bit Editions
Service Pack 1; Windows Vista Business 64-bit edition; Windows Vista

maybe we have to wait until the mui packages for ie8 for XP are ready and
provided too?

or maybe microsoft has decided not to support Windows XP and MUIs (here IE8
and MUIs on that plattform) anymore ?
