Timeline for a IE9 Beta Webbrowser?

Hello,
on the connect side I read several reports about speed and that some
sites not work.

But how important are this reports, without a web-browser?
There are not any settings at the moment, and I think that for e.g some
security settings influence the speed and functionality of websites
too.

Another point here is that it is impossible to test common websites at
the moment, without favorites and thinks like this.

Is there any timeline for this? When we can await a IE9.0 Webbrowser?

Hi Peter,

Use the File>Run menu to launch local or remote sites.

Timeline? As long as a piece of string. Which stage of the SDLC are you
referring to? I think you could safely say the Preview is part of the
Requirements gathering and prototyping phase. The IE HTML 5 test suite is
publicly available. An assessment of what is in common use in the Wild is
required before any further costing is made.

Yes, but this is not really the same.
E.g. I have test the preview with some of my popular sites, like
Facebook, vBulletin Forum, Wikipedia, some Microsoft sites and others.
I found no bug that is not already reported yet.

But that's not the normal use, I visit 50 or more different site from
my favorites, maybe one or two contain bugs, who knows? I will not
enter all my favorites in this File Open dialog. ;)

Hi Peter,

Yes I know (not before you...) I was the last in the block to hear about the
Preview (I spend too much time here). There are a few shortcomings with it
as outlined in the IEBlog post. Have you been able to re-instate your
connect credentials? See the IEBlog for details.

ping my email. Perhaps we can work together on this. I have a few tools to
solve problems like you are facing. We've got an App for that too.

I put my pet peeve out the door yesterday and I am looking for a new one.
