I opened an e-mail Christmas card from a friend & tried to copy it to keep &
pass on to others. In the process I had to download Adobe Flash Player, this
was taking to long so I tried to cancel & when I went back to my mail box all
my files had been lost icluding some unread mail. The happened on Christmas
Eve & every 2nd or 3rd day I get the following admin. message to say my mail
box is full while in fact it is empty.

THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE - THERE'S NO NEED TO REPLY.

Unfortunately, because your mailbox is full, messages cannot be delivered
to you. This may be as a result of you receiving large files that have
used up your quota.

But don't worry it.s easy to fix. All you have to do is delete the messages
you don't need from your "Inbox", "Sent", "Trash/Deleted" and any other
webmail folder, starting with the oldest ones first.

That way you'll make plenty of room for your new messages and you'll start
to receive them straight away. Please remember that we can't keep any emails
that we can't deliver to you. So it's important to make sure you've always
got space in your mailbox for incoming messages.

Details:
Quota Type: bytes in the message
Quota Available: 10485760
Total Quota: 10485760

Can anyone offer any suggestions how to sort this out ?

Thanks in anticipation

regards

Hi,
Are you using Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail?

Are you connecting to a webmail service like Live/Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo,
etc? Or are you using your ISP's mail service?

In Windows Mail> Tools> Accounts, select the affected account. Go to
Properties> Advanced. If "Leave a copy of messages on server" is checked,
uncheck it or choose to Remove from server after "X" days or Remove from
server when deleted from Deleted Items.

Hope this helps,
Don
