sometimes i get this error message on IE
"an unhandled win32 exception occurred in iexplore.exe"
it happens in specific websites. if i use IE with no Add-On the error
doesn't appear but as those adds-on are essencial, the website doesn't work
and when i enable even one add-on again i get the error message. what can i
do for that

Hi Time,

Check the Vendors or those Addons for updates for their products.

You have three choices

- Install updates for your Addons from your vendors that are IE8 compatible
or
- Uninstall IE8 to revert back to IE7.
or
- Add the problem site to your Restricted Site Zone where the default
security zone setting for Active Scripting is turned off.

You should ALWAYS use the Default Security Zone settings of IE.

Are you running any anti-virus or anti-malware software?

If you can tell us which Addon (and its download site) we can have a look at
it and be able to advise other people who may have the same problem.

Regards.

To whom this may concern,
I recently installed Visual Studio Professional 2008 and the SP1. Everytime
I try to go to the microsoft update page, where it asks to install Active X
control, I receive a win 32 iexplore exception and the Just In Time Debugger
asks me if I want to debug it. How can I fix this problem. By the way I am
using IE 8.
Thanks!

I had this issue and figured out that the Java add-in was causing the issue.
I unstalled Java, renamed the jre6 folder to jre6_old in the c:/program
files/java folder.

Then I installed java again. The issue was resolved.

If it is not Java, then it definitely some other add-on causing the error.
You have to do trial and error.
