Dear microsoft IE team,
As a core developper of drupal the well known cms we are here to THANK you
guys for FINALLY paying attention to standards (or beta standards). Most of
the core developpers "hate" IE cause of the pain it gives specially when you
try some cool stuff in css. I give you a very clear example.
In drupal 7 (that is in alpha now), we are using fieldsets to group items.
But we pushed the label inside the borders of the fieldsets, this way it
looks nicer. It took us 2 months (yes two!) to find a clean solution that
works with all versions of IE (IE6-IE8).
Our eyes bleed when we open IE9 and see that nothing has changed under the
hood for this issue. Luckily for us, nothing changed comparing to IE8. But we
really really hate to use lines like this: "lte IE 8" in our code. So if
there is time left please look at other browsers, specially webkit and opera
and look how they implemented it.
We even are willing to setup a testing site so you guys can actually see
whats going wrong.
Keep up the good work, you're not at the end, yet ;)
Greets,
aspilicious
