I just installed IE8b2 on Vista Ultimate 32-bit with Office 2007 installed.

New RSS Feeds were added within my main account's mailbox (Outlook 2007 -
POP mail).

Now, when it Sends and Receives I get errors like this:

Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0xF38C0006) : 'Synchronization to RSS
Feed:"https://ieonline.microsoft.com/%23ieslice" has failed. Outlook cannot
download the RSS content from https://ieonline.microsoft.com/#ieslice because
of a problem connecting to the server.'

Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0xF38C0006) : 'Outlook cannot download the
RSS content from https://ieonline.microsoft.com/#ieslice because of a problem
connecting to the server.'

Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0xF5904005) : 'Synchronization to RSS
Feed:"http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=121315" has failed. Outlook
cannot process the RSS content from
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=121315. The link may not point to a
valid RSS source.'

Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0xF5904005) : 'Outlook cannot process the
RSS content from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=121315. The link may
not point to a valid RSS source.'

Any input??

Thanks.

I installed IE8 today (8/29/08) and started getting the same error message. Will wait until next week for a fix. Google only brought this article about it. I am sure others will have the same problem soon. Then we will have a solution.

Same problem. I uninstalled Explorer8 beta (went back to version 7),
disabled RSS feeds in Outlook , and it persists.

I had the same problem. I deleted the two new feeds added, suggested sites
and Web Slice Gallery and it took care of the problem. Could it be those two
RSS feed are not yet enabled?

Thanks so much. That worked!

I had deleted the feeds in Mail Setup but had neglected to delete the
folders.

I upgrated my Internet Explorer to Beta 8 last night and started to have problems with most of my applications that I use.

My McAfee Security Center was disabled due to the new Beta8 (McAfee does not support it). Lots of websites were not working properly, and on top of it all MS Outlook was giving me error messages when Send/Receive was in process:
(Synchronization to RSS........... Feed: "https://ieonlinews.microsoft.com/" has faild. Outlook can not download the RSS content from http://ieonlinews.microsoft.com because of a problem connecting to the server.

Anyhow, when I found this site onlie, trying to resolve my issues, I deleted Beta8 and followed your suggestions below:

Tools => Send/Receive => Send/Receive Settings => Define Send/Receive Groups

=> Highlight "All Accounts" => Edit... => Goto RSS Section => Uncheck

Finally, I am back to normal - and don't experience any more problems...

My suggestion to all - DO NOT INSTALL NEW VERSION OF EXPLORER -BETA 8....
