Hello,
on the MS blog
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2010/05/05/html5-and-same-markup-second-ie9-platform-preview-available-for-developers.aspx
about the new IE9.0 preview I found an interesing statement about the
Acid 3 test, and why IE9.0 have only 68%:
"Acid3 tests about 100 details of a dozen different technologies. Some
are still in “under construction.” Some of the patterns, like SMIL
animations, are inconsistent with other parts of HTML5, like CSS3
animations, and need to be reconciled."

I wonder a little bit why some browsers can have 100%. They not notice
that some things are inconsistent and need more work?

Because those other web browser are supporting as-yet-to-be-ratified
features in HTML5 (and which could change). You are suprised that, for
example, the Mozilla web browser does well in a test written by ex-Mozilla
employees and who are involved in pushing several changes in the *next*
HTML5 spec? Gee, no bias there, uh nuh.
