Need IE 3 to run Access 2007

Get error message that I need to run window internet explorer 3.00 or later
to use the Microsoft Access program. I uninstalled the office suite and
reinstalled, yet still want the IE 3. Please advise

Internet Explorer 3.00 or later also means IE 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 does it not?

Why would Access 2007 want something as old as IE3?

IE3 is the first version of IE which supported ActiveX
so my guess is that your program is looking at your
User-Agent string and assuming that whatever it sees
may be IE but it isn't anything that it recognizes.

Try checking your User-Agent string for corruption
and if necessary use the User-Agent Picker tool
to spoof something other than MSIE 8.0.
