When downloading files from the following site in IE7 & IE8 the CSV file is
downloading blank. In IE6 and Firefox the CSV file has data in it.

The name of the url is http://www.deq.state.mi.us/appguard .When we try to
save the file to the C drive we are prompted if we want to open it or save
it. When we choose either one it opens the .CSv file in Excel 2007.

Hi Jeff,

This is the sign-on page for accessing various restricted State of Michigan
Applications.
A valid User ID and Password is required to proceed further.

Contact your Help Desk. (it is not a good idea to publish restricted govt.
web site addresses in public forums.)

Probably solution is

Tools>Internet Options - Security tab, click the "Reset all zones to
default" button.

Why....

Works in IE6 and FX.

Your IE6 browser probably has the default security zone settings. FX does
not use the IE security zone model, security is applied by site basis.

Regards.
